SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin and Northern Shan Statesand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in AyeyarwadyRegion and Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts ofrainfall recorded were (7.12) inches in Gwa, (4.84) inches in Ye, (4.52) inches in Phyarpon, (4.21) inches in Hpasaung, (3.70) inches in Mudon, (3.58) inches in Manaung, (3.54) inches in Kungyangon, (3.50) inches in Dawei, (3.46) inches in Hainggyigyun, (3.24) inches in Kyeikdon, (3.11) inches each in Kyaukpyu and Kyeikmayaw, (3.07) inches in Paung and (3.00) inches in Rambree.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining Coastal Odisha-North coastal Andhra Pradesh(India) moved West-Northwest and it intensified into a Depression. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, KayahStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwaddy, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas will be in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (8-10) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Rakhine State.
