BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining Coastal Odisha-North coastal Andhra Pradesh(India) and Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to intensify into a depression during next (24)hrs and continue to move West-Northwestwards and will cross Odisha, India. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 9th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Norther Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Bago Yangon, Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
