SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Lower SagaingRegion and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts ofrainfall recorded were (7.80) inches in Launglon, (5.94) inches in Chaungsone, (5.87) inches in Myeik, (5.79) inches in Dawei, (5.04) inches in Thandwe, (4.96) inches in Manaung, (4.73) inches in Thaton, (4.64) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.61) inches each in Gwa and Kyeikmayaw, (4.57) inches in Paung, (4.28) inches in Rambree and (4.02) inches in Labutta.
BAY INFERENCE:BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the well marked low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining Coastal Odisha-North coastal Andhra Pradesh(India) and Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to intensify into a depression during next (24)hrs and continue to move West-Northwestwards and will cross Odisha, India. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in KachinState and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
