SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.73) inches in Paung, (6.58) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.76) inches in Ye, (4.57) inches in Chaungsone, (4.33) inches in Kyeikmayaw (3.98) inches in Gwa, (3.42) inches in Mawlamyinekyun, (3.03) inches in Mudon, (2.95) inches in Paing Kyone, (2.88) inches in Coco-Island, (2.60) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.48) inches each in Kyaukmae and Belin and (2.40) inches in Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
