SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw,Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.31) inches in Hpa-an, (3.20) inches in Singaing, (2.83) inches inPaung, (2.72) inches in Belin, (2.28) inches in Mudon, (2.25) inchesin Thaton, (2.04) inches in Bogale, (1.97) inches eachin Myaungmya and Launglon, (1.85) inches in Kyeikmayaw and (1.77) inches in Mawlamyine.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6thAugust, 2022:Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespreadinNaypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, KayahStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in off and along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 6thAugust, 2022:          Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and widespread in Yangon Region.
