BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago,Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
