SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.42) inches in Launglon, (6.18) inches in Dawei, (4.22) inches in Khayan, (3.93) inches inKalewa, (3.82) inches in Hlegu, (3.74) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (2.72) inches in Hpa-an, (2.68) inches in Yangon (Botahtaung), (2.52) inches each in Mingin and Kawthaung and (2.28)inches in Paung. 

BAY INFERENCE Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndJuly, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, MagwayRegions, fairly widespread in Lower SagaingRegion and Kachin, Northern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, TaninthayiRegions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon.
