SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.21) inches in Khayan, (4.13) inches in Phyarpon, (3.94) inches in Launglon, (3.58) inches in Thandwe, (3.46) inches in Kungyangon, (3.35) inches each in Yangon(Mayangon) and Myaunmya, (3.15) inches in Gwa, (3.05) inches in Nyaungtone, (3.03) inches each in Yangon(Botahtaung) and Dawei and (2.95) inches each in Okkan and Da Nu Byu.

BAY INFERENCE According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over South Coastal Odisha now lies over North Odisha(India) still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
