SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.99) inches in Sittwe, (5.75) inches in Pauk Taw, (5.51) inches in Manaung, (4.00) inches in Pon Na Gyun, (3.86) inches in Homalin, (3.62) inches in Thandwe, (3.59) inches in Ye, (3.48) inches in Ram Bree, (3.43) inches in Kawthaung, (3.27) inches in Dawei and (3.11) inches in Launglon.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over coastal areas of south  Odisha­ - North Andhra Pradesh now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal of Odisha coast still persists. It is very likely to become more marked during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, ‌Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
