SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Magway Region. Rainor thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.83) inches in Pauk Taw, (3.32) inches in Pon Na Gyun, (2.72) inches each in Myitkyina and Mye Bon, (2.64) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (2.44) inches in Maungdaw, (2.40) inches in Payathonesu, (2.36) inches in Min Bya, (2.32) inches in Paung, (2.17) inches in Sitttwe, (1.89) inches each in Kyaukpyu and Taungkok and (1.73) inches each in Myingyan and Phyarpon.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, TaninthayiRegions and Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State.
