SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rainor thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw and Magway Region, scattered inLower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Kayah, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Mon States and widespread in Kachin, Eastern Shan and Rakhine Stateswith regionally heavyfalls in Kachin State and isolatedheavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.31) inches in Monyin, (3.74)inchesinMyauk U, (3.66) inches in Hkamti, (3.15) inches in Myitkyina, (2.24) inches in Manaung, (2.17) inches in Paletwa, (2.08)inches in Hpa-an, (1.97) inches in Maungdaw, (1.73) inches in Sittwe, (1.66) inches each in Tharrawady and Madauk and (1.61) inches in Myaungmya.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread inNaypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread inLower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper SagaingRegion and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will be moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuations of increase of rain in Upper SagaingRegion and KachinState.
