SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.83) inches in Gwa, (4.29) inches in Maungdaw, (3.82) inches in Sittwe, (3.78) inches in Belin, (3.27) inches in Thandwe, (2.95) inches in Ngathaichaung, (2.80) inches in Mawlamyine, (2.72) inches in Ye, (2.63) inches each in Hpa-an and Chaungsone and (2.48) inches in Paung.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
