BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (North and South) Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (6-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.  

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Ragions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 6th June, 2022:     Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).
