SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and Chin, Rakhine, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.53) inches in Hkamti, (3.35) inches inPaungbyin, (2.24) inches in Monyin, (2.16) inches in Maungdaw, (1.97) inches in Central Yangon, (1.85) inches in Myeik, (1.81) inches in Myitkyina, (1.54) inches in Thandwe, (1.50) inches in Kyauktaw, (1.42) inches in Belin and (1.34) inches each in Htilin and Ann.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayah, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon.
