SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, southwest monsoon has advanced into the whole country. Weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Mon States, scattered in Magway, Yangon Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.71) inches in Sittwe, (3.43) inches in Ann, (2.36) inches in Bhamo, (2.33) inches in Maungdaw, (2.28) inches in Taungkok, (2.13) inches in Myauk U, (2.01) inches in Kawthaung, (1.69) inches in Shwegu, (1.42) inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), (1.26) inches in Mingin and (1.14) inches in Taunggu.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
