SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in (North and South)Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.28) inches in Paung Byin, (2.20) inches each in Monyin and Maungdaw, (2.05) inches each in Taungkok and Yangon (Mingaladon), (1.97) inches in Tiddim, (1.69) inches each in Phyu and Hinthada, (1.66) inches each in Tamu and Hmawbi and (1.50) inches in Ngathaichaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, East Central Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
