SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region,
Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State,
scattered in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States
and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of
rainfall recorded were Moekok (2.28) inches, Zaung Tu (1.50) inches, Gangaw
(1.42) inches and Kyeikkhame (1.18) inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea,
South Bay and East Central Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere
in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd June, 2015: Rain or
thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State,
fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin
and Kayin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Shan and Rakhine
States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.
Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement
of Southwest monsoon in the Central Myanmar areas.
