SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Kachin, Northern Shan States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Kayin, Mon States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) each in Myinmu, NyaungOo, Chauk, Bawlakhae and Hpasaung and (37°C) each in Thipaw, Homalin, Myingyan and Magway. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.13) inches in Khayan, (2.32) inches in Machanbaw, (1.89) inches in Mudon, (1.85) inches in Central Yangon, (1.57) inches in Hainggyigyun, (1.50) inches in Paung, (1.38) inches in Ngathaichaung, (1.30) inches in Mogoke, (1.22) inches each in Paletwa and Ye and (1.15) inches in Pyay.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, East Central Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01stJune, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions.
