SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Southern Shan and Kayah States and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Chauk and (39°C) in Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.79) inches in Belin, (4.28) inches in Thaton, (3.78) inches in Chaungsone, (3.19) inches in Paung, (2.52) inches each in Monywa and Kyeikkhame, (2.36) inches each in Kawkareik and Mudon, (2.32) inches in Hpa-an, (2.16) inches in Mingin, (2.12) inches each in Mawlamyine and Kyeikmayaw, (2.05) inches in Manaung and (2.01) inches in Phyu.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, East Central Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate otrough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
