SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather have been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Kachin and Eastern Shan States, (2°C) below May average temperatures in Chin, Kayin and Mon States, (3°C) below May average temperature in Taninthayi Region and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (39°C) each in Myinmu and Myingyan. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.84) inches in Thandwe, (2.68) inches in Hpa-an, (2.40) inches in Gangaw, (2.32) inches in Bago, (2.20) inches in Zaung Tu, (1.97) inches in Madauk, (1.93) inches in Zalun, (1.89) inches each in Shwekyin and Yangon(Mingaladon), (1.75) inches in Okpho, (1.73) inches in Mawlaik and (1.69) inches in Launglon.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, (North and East)Shan States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts. Therefore, domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships in off and along Myanmar Coasts should be aware to take precautionary measures.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
