BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea, South Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (10-12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (8-10) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
