BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Land Depression crossed near Shan-Ywar-Thit, Kayin State(Myanmar). It moved to Northeastwards and reached Northern Thailand. It is weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area. It is forecast continue to move Northeastwards and gradually weaken into a Low Pressue Area. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE21stMay, 2022:Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squall with rough to very rough seas are likely to be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (45) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seasare likely at times elsewhere in Myanmar waters.Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph.Wave height will be about (9-14) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts and (8-10) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
