SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and MagwayRegions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regionsand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolatedheavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Mon States. Day temperatureswere (2°C)below May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw,Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, MagwayRegions and Kachin Stateand about May average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were(38°C)eachin Chaukand Hpasaung and (37°C) inBawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.63) inchesin Mogoke,(3.31) inches in Manaung, (3.23) inches inPaung, (2.28) inches in Lashio, (2.24) inches inLaunglon, (2.01) inches in Bhamo, (1.81) inches in Monyin and (1.78) inchesin PaingKyone.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Machilipatnam, India hasweakened into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and now lies over Andhra Pradesh Coast, India. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE13thMay, 2022:Rain or thundershowers will bescattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread inNaypyitaw, Bago, AyeyarwadyRegionsand Kayah Statesandwidespreadin the remaining Regions and Stateswith likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will bemoderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest monsoon into the Southern Myanmar areas.
