SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway, TaninthayiRegions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Kayah and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions. Day temperatureswere (2°C) above May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region, (2°C)below May average temperatures in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions,(3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw,Magway, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State, (5°C) below May average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, ChinStatesand about May average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were(37°C)eachin Bawlakhae and Hpasaung and (36°C) each in Chauk, Taungdwingyi, Ann, Taunggu, Shwekyin, Kawkareik and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.32) inchesin Tagaung, (3.06) inches in Kanbalu, (2.52) inches inMogoke, (2.32) inches in Thabeikkyin, (2.16) inches inPyinmana, (1.90) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.88) inches in Meiktila, (1.85) inchesin Yeu and (1.73) inches in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over West Central Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwardsand centered at about (25) Nautical miles Southeast of Machilipatnam, (75) Nautical miles Southwest of Kakinada, (140) Nautical miles Southwest of Vishakhapatnam, (275) Nautical miles Southwest of Gopalpur, (340) Nautical miles Southwest of Puri(India), (745) Nautical miles Westof Hainggyigyun and (765) Nautical miles West of Gwa(Myanmar).Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
