BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over West Central Bay of Bangal has moved West-Northwestwards and is centered at about (115) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kakinada, (160) Nautical miles South of Vishakhapatnam, (285) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Gopalpur, (340) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Puri(India), (690) Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun and (720) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Gwa(Myanmar).Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 11th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasionally squall with rough seas will bein Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at timesin Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
