BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over West Central Bay and adjoining South Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and centered at about (445) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Port Blair, (250) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (330) Nautical miles South of Puri (India), (450) Nautical miles West of Coco-Island and (510) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar).Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
