BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, a Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and now lies over Westcentral Bay and Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (340) Nautical miles West of Port Blair, (345) Nautical miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (395) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puri(India), (360) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco-Island and (445) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar).Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 09th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
