BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, a Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It iscentered at about (235) Nautical miles West of Port Blair, (480) Nautical miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (515) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puri, (India), (310) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island and (420) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
