BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea has moved Northwestwards andcentered at about (155) Nautical miles Southwest of Port Blair, (630) Nautical miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (655) Nautical miles Southeast of Puri, (India), (295) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island and (420) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar). Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 08th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Magway and Bago Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Mandalay,Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayin, Mon States.
