SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon Region and Kayin, Mon States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Magway, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper SagaingRegion and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Southern Shan, Mon States and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Eastern Shan, KayahStates, (5°C) to (6°C) below May average temperatures inNaypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, MagwayRegions and Chin State, (7°C) below May average temperature in Northern Shan State, (9°C) to (10°C) below May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each in ZaungTu and Nyaunglaybin and (39°C) each in Bawlakhae and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.99) inches in Kyaukpadaung, (2.72) inches in Mandalay, (2.09) inches in Pyawbwe, (0.94) inch in Pyinoolwin, (0.82) inch NyaungOo, (0.75) inch in Manaung, (0.70) inch each in Bhamo and Myitnge and (0.59) inch in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread inKachin State,fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
