SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State, scattered in Magway Region and Chin State, isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and isolated heavyfalls in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Mon States and (2°C) below May average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (3°C) below May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (5°C) to (6°C) below May average temperatures in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (40°C) each in Lunkyaw, Minbu, Magway, Taungdwinggyi, Kyauktaw, Ann, Tharrawady and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.41) inches in Thayat, (3.34) inches in Naypyitaw Airport (Ela), (3.31) inches in Maubin, (3.23) inches in Pyinmana, (2.99) inches in Naypyitaw(Zabuthiri), (2.40) inches in Bawlakhae, (2.36) inches in Naypyitaw (Ottarathiri), (2.29) inches in Hinthada, (2.24) inches in Taunggu(Avia- Met), (2.13) inches in Laiway, (2.05) inches in Naypyitaw (Dekkhinathiri) and (1.69) inches in Putao.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy in the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin States, scattered in Magway, Yangon Regions and Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States.
