SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Rakhine State,. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were  (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and (2°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (4°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and (7°C) below April average temperature in Northern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) each in Minbu, Magway and Taungdwingyi, (43°C) each in Myingyan and Chauk and (42°C) each in Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Aunglan, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.88) inches in Singaing, (2.48) inches in Mataya, (1.90) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (1.85) inches in Tada U(Avia-Met), (1.73) inches in Yamethin, (1.61) inches in Myintnge, (1.45) inches in Kawkareik, (1.33) inches Lashio, (1.26) inches in Kungyangon, (1.20) inches in Kyeikdon, (1.17) inches in Myeik, (1.10) inches in Theikchaung(Zayarthiri) and (1.07) inches in Mandalay.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State, scattered in Yangon Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States.
