SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,rain or thundershowers have been widespread in (North and East)Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Southern Shan, KayinStates and isolated in Upper Sagaing, MagwayRegions and Chin State with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region.Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperature inChin State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and (8°C) below April average temperature in Northern Shan State, (5°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State,(4°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State andabout April average temperatures inthe remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Taunggu, Hpasaung and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.36)inches in Mandalay(Aungmyethazan), (1.73)inches eachinMandalay(Chanmyathazi) and Myeik,(1.32)inches in Kyeikdon, (1.26)inches in Mandalay(Chanayethazan), (1.14)inchesin Kawthaung, (1.12) inches in Patheingyi, (1.06)inches inPyinoolwin and (0.99)inch in Monywa.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather ispartly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
