SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, KayahStates and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin Stateand weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperature in Chin State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Bago Region and Mon State and (2°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan, Chauk and Taungdwingyi and (41°C) each in Vaar, Tada U(Aviation-Met), Magway, Gangaw, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.87) inches in Shwegu, (2.80) inches inBhamo, (1.30) inches in Mogoke, (0.79) inch in Momate (Myitsone), (0.75) inch in Namsam, (0.71) inch each in Putao, Muse, Thipaw and Katha, (0.64) inch each in Machanbaw and Pyinoolwin and (0.43) inch each in Loilin and Pauk.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th April, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin and Eastern Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
