SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk, (44°C) in Gangaw and (42°C) each in Mingin and Myinmu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.26) inches in Bhamo, (0.47) inch in Kunlong, (0.35) inch in Minesat, (0.32) inch each in Putao, Monyin and Shwegu and (0.28) inch each in Machanbaw and Pyaungbyin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th April, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and (South and East) Shan, KayahStates and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions.
