SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, (North and South) Shan, Mon States scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and  Kayin State with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavyfalls in Lower SagaingRegion and Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperature in Chin State and (4°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (2°C) below April average temperatures in Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk, Aunglan and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.25) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.80) inches in Sagaing, (2.64) inches in Myitnge, (2.44) inches in Amarapura, (1.93) inches in Mawlamyine, (1.85) inches in Chaungsone, (1.75) inches in Shwesaryan, (1.54) inches in Mandalay(Chanmyathazi) and (1.45) inches each in Pyinmana(Walgyi) and Mandalay(Chanayethazan).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th April, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (North and East) Shan, Kayah, Mon States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scatteredrain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
