SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in AyeyarwadyRegion and Mon State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (13°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (5°C) below April average temperatures in Kachin and Northern Shan States, (3°C) below April average temperatures in Southern Shan and Kayah States and (4°C) above April average temperature in Chin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) each inVarr, Kalewa, Mingin, Myinmu, Yamethin,Gangaw and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.97) inches in Okkan, (1.78) inches in Taunggyi, (1.49) inches in Tharrawady, (1.34) inches in Shewkyin, (1.14) inches in Madaukand (0.71) inch each in Myitkyina and Hmawbi.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04th April, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States andisolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Kachin State and scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Shan State.
