SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Magway Region and Kachin, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above March average temperatures in Kachin, Chin States, (3°C) above March average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and (2°C) below March average temperatures in Mandaly Region and Kayin State, (3°C) to (4°C) below March average temperatures in Magway Region and Shan, Kayah, Mon States and (5°C) to (6°C) below March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (40°C) in Vaar, Kyaemone and Chauk. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.60) inches in Manaung, (2.52) inches each in Nyaung Oo and Thandwe, (2.08) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.05) inches in Sinbyugyun, (1.77) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.57) inches in Chauk, (1.46) inches in Khayan and (1.38) inches each in Namsam, Pinlaung and Thazi.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (11:30)hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area has moved Rakhine State near Thandwe and it is continuous to move North-Northeastwards. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, (Southern and Eastern) Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough sea elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts and (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts .
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widspread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
