SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan, Kayin States and isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March averagetemperature in Kachin, Chin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Southern Shan, Rakhine States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk and (42°C) each in Magway and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.57) inches in Myeik, (1.42) inches in Myawaddy, (1.38) inches in Maubin, (1.30) inches in Khayan, (1.25) inches in Kawthaung and (0.55) inch each in Kawkareik, Paing Kyone and Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over North Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (95) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Coco Island, about (205) Nautical miles South of Hainggyikyun, about (255) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Pathein, about (270) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Dawei,about (285) Nautical miles West of Myeik, about (320) Nautical miles Southwest of Mawlamyine, about (290)Nautical miles South-Southwest of Yangon(Myanmar),about (275) Nautical miles North of Nicobar Islands and about(85) Nautical miles Northeast of Port Blair (India).Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Southeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and isolated heavyfalls in  Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Frequently squalls with rough seas will be off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-14) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widspread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
