SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Kayin and Mon States and isolated in Southern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (6°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin States, (2°C) above March average temperatures inNaypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago Regions and Kayah State and about March average temperature in the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Tada U (Aviation), Chauk, Magway and Taungdwingyi and (41°C)each in Sagaing, Hlaingtat, Kyaukse (Lunkyaw), Minbu and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.75) inch in Paing Kyone, (0.42) inch in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (0.24) inch in Payathonsu and (0.20) inch each in Kyeikkhame and Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and it is centered at about (240) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island, about (370) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Hainggyikyun, about (410) Nautical miles Southwest of Dawei,about (350) Nautical miles West of Kawthaung (Myanmar), about (60) Nautical miles North-Northwest of Nicobar Islands and (90) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Port Blair (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin andMon States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and isolated in Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9–12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widspread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
