SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past
(24) hours,weather has been partly cloudy in Chin and Kayah States, rain or
thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions,
fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions,
Kayin State, isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls
in Taninthayi Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average
temperatures in Northern and Eastern Shan, Chin States and about May average
temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures
were (40°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Gangaw, Pauk, Bawlakhae and
Yeu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myeik (3.35) inches,
Launglon (1.97) inches, Chaungsone (1.81) inches, Katha and Myaungmya (1.62)
inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate in the Andaman Sea, South and
East Central Bay and weather is partly cloudy elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th May, 2015: Rain or
thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in
Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Mon State, scattered in Upper Sagaing
Region, Kachin, Rakhine and Kayin States, isolated in the remaining Regions
and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar water.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery activities
in the Central Myanmar areas.
