BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengalstill persists. It is likely to move Northwardsand intensify into a Depression near Andaman Sea and Nicobar Islands during next (12)hrs and into a Cyclonic Storm over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Seaduring next (36) hrs. It may intensify into a depression, thereafterit is lead to near Coco Island, Myanmar in the morining of (21.3.2022), near Hainggyikyun, Ayeyarwady Region in the evening of (21.3.2022)and nearRakhine coast on (22.3.2022).Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Mon State, scattered in Kayin State and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9–12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Likelihood of fairly widspread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
