BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It islikely to move East-Northeastwards and lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea and move to the Northwards near Andaman Sea, Nicobar Islands and Coco-Island, intensify into a Depression at (20.3.2022) and a Cyclonic Storm at (21.3.2022). It may continue to move North-Northeastwards and reach near Bangladesh and Rakhinecoast of Myanmar at (22.3.2022).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and SouthBay and generally fair over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 18th March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern andEastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widspread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
