SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, MagwayRegions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin States, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon States and about March average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Magway, (42°C) each in Kyaukse (Lunkyaw), Chaukand Taungdwingyi and (42°C) each in Meikhtila, Hlaingtat, Tada U(Aviation), Minbu, Aunglan and Pyay.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move East-Northeastwards and lies over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea and move to the North-Northwestwards near Andaman Sea, Nicobar Islands and Coco-Island, intensify into a Depression at (20.3.2022) and a Cyclonic Storm at (21.3.2022). It may continue to move Northwards and reach near Bangladesh and Rakhine coast of Myanmar at (22.3.2022).Weather is cloudy over the SouthBay and generally fair over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th March, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (Southern andEastern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widspread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
