SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Eastern Shan State and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Southern Shan, Kayah States, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States,(2°C) below March average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Bawlakhae,(41°C) in Hpasaung, (40°C) each in Taungdwingyi and Gyobingauk and (39°C) each in Minbu, Tharrawady, Nyaunglaybin, Taunggu (Aviation), Ngathaichaung and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.54) inches in Dawei, (1.14) inchesin Myeik, (0.67) inch in Launglon and (0.12) inch in Myawaddy.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea,generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloudy to partly cloudyelsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 09th March, 2022: Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Rakhine states.Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi region, scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated inthe remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
