SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady Regions and Kachin, (South and East)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below February average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) below February average temperatures in Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and (4°C) above February average temperatures inKayin, Mon States and about February average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha,(2°C) each in Namsam andHeho, (3°C) each in Kyaukmae and Mongyang and (4°C) eachin Putao, Lashio, Lolin and Mogoke.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.55) inch in Kawthaung and (0.15) inch in Dawei.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th February, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in TaninthayiRegion, scattered in Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (South and East) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
