SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been isolated in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (0°C) in Namsam, (1°C) each in Heho and Mongyang and (2°C) each in Pinlaung, Mingin and Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloudto partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st January, 2022:Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated inKachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaingand Taninthayi Regions and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
