SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (South and East)Shan, Rakhine States and (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Kayin, Mon States and about January average temperaturesin the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Heho, (4°C) each Namsam and Tongzan and (5°C) in Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.24) inch in Minesat, (0.12) inch in Homalin and (0.08) inch each in Kengtung and Coco Island.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21stJanuary, 2022: Weatherwill be partly cloudy Magway Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in EasternShan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (North and South)Shan, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
