SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Mon State . Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, (North and South) Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and about January average temperature in Taninthayi Region. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Namsam, (6°C) each in Heho, Hakha and Tongzan and (7°C) each in Tiddim and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.89) inches in Coco Island and (0.35) inch each in Putao and Machanbaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th January, 2022: Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region. Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).
