SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Magway, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Eastern)ShanState, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, (5°C) above January average temperature in Kachin State and about January average temperaturein the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Heho, (6°C) each in Namsam and Tongzan and (7°C) each in Kyaukmae, Loilin and Tiddim.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.24) inch in Machanbaw,(0.16) inch each in Putao and Myitkyina and (0.08) inch in Hkamti.
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudyto cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14thJanuary, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State,scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
